September 5, 2011 Shanghai Grand Carnival Returns: Now at Expo Site
After six years in abeyance, the Shanghai Grand Carnival is back. With a plethora of rides, entertainment, and food, the carnival is ideal for a fun family weekend. The carnival began July 29rd and will run to October 30th, marking (almost) 100 days of fun-filled activity. Taking place at the Expo site in Pudong, it spans 80,000 square meters, making the Grand Carnival the world’s largest.

The Cranberries are an Irish rock band formed in Limerick in 1989.The wide popularity of cranberries is deeply associate with the female vocalist Dolores O’Riordan. Faye Wong is a Chinese singer-songwriter and actress. Faye Wong has become a cultural icon of “coolness”. Hugely popular in Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, and even Japan, she is also usually referred to as a diva (Chinese:天后; literally “Heavenly Queen”).

April 26, 2011 Ready for the Chinese Labour Day?(Part 1 of 2)
Yep, since May 1st is the Chinese public holiday, lots of events are taking place these days. If you are looking forward a live concert or stuff like this, here’s your turn!
The first one will be the Midi Festival, which will be hold from 30th April to 2nd May in Beijing and from 6th to 8th May in Shanghai.

Yep, as we have mentioned in our previous post last month. Our pop-punk princess, Avril Lavigne has now confirmed her live concert in Shanghai Grand Stage on May 2nd.
Yessss, now she’s coming to Shanghai!!! How exciting! I can’t wait to get there!

It’s a bit late to order tickets for Bob Dylan Live show in Beijing or Shanghai, because the 280RMB and 980RMB tickets are sold out.

If it’s still difficult to get one, and you really want to go, then you can try your luck in front of Beijing Workers’ Gymnasium, Shanghai Grand stage at the show night, the Huangniu (Yellow cow) will find you, get a scalped ticket from the black market. After the beginning of the show, you may get a discount.
Avril Lavigne is also coming to Shanghai Soon on May 2nd only in Shanghai. The ticket reservation isn’t available yet.
